Fundada em 1979, por um homem que saiu do Japão e fez da capital gaúcha seu lar, a Akira tomou forma e se consolidou durante estes anos. No início e,por muito tempo, o senhor Akira, que forneceu seu próprio nome a empresa, realizava consertos em um rol de equipamentos da marca Sony, tornando-se referência no reparo técnico destes eletrônicos. Assim, a confiança dos clientes foi sendo conquistada no mercado e ganhando grandes proporções, até que a Akira passou a ser a primeira autorizada de eletroeletrônicos em Porto Alegrefabricados pela Sony, e manteve-se no status de representante técnica desta multinacional por 35 anos.

Após este tempo, o senhor Akira voltou para seu país de origem, mas antes de partir transmitiu todo o seu conhecimento e estrutura organizacional para o novo administrador do negócio.

Além de atualmente representar a LG, atendemos exclusivamente os clientes da Onkyono Rio Grande do Sul,  que fabrica seus produtos no Japão e é distribuída pela Disac em São Paulo. Com isto, todos os equipamentos destas duas fabricantes que estiverem dentro da garantia, prazo de um ano a partir da aquisição, são consertados pela Akira sem nenhum custo para o consumidor.
